PiS Easy® Manual Handling

What is it?

A competency-based training and assessment interactive CD-ROM aimed at employees and employers. The program contains the core training elements for manual handling defined by the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission (NOHSC). Written by a physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience in the assessment and treatment of injured workers, manual handling training and risk assessment, this program fills a void in the marketplace for those who are seeking flexibility, value, quality and consistency in manual handling training.

What if our company is spread across multiple sites?

What if our company is spread across multiple sites?

If, for example, your company has 3 branches in different locations in the same state then you only need to buy one licence (i.e. one copy of the CD) and make copies of the CD and hand them out to each branch. If however, your company has branches in different states then you need to buy a licence for each state as the CD content differs for each state. In this situation you will receive 15% off the price of any additional licences you need to purchase.

Can I play the CD on a DVD player and watch it on a TV?

No. The presentations on the CD-ROM are Flash format and will only play on a PC.

What will happen when my licence expires?

When your licence expires and you try to start the PiS Easy® Manual Handling Training and Assessment CD-ROM you will be presented with a screen telling you your licence has expired. You will need to purchase a new licence - please note that existing customers receive a 30% discount off standard pricing when they renew their licence.

What size licence(s) do I need?

Your licence size is calculated on the total number of employees your business has. For example, if your business employs a total of 25 people across 2 South Australian branches (e.g. 12 in one and 13 in the other) and an additional 30 people in a Victorian branch then you would need to purchase 2 Large licences. This is because in total your business employs 55 people (i.e. more than 50) and you would require a separate licence version for each state.

Will this work on my computer?

All you need to run the PiS Easy® Manual Handling Training and Assessment CD-ROM is a computer with the following:

Microsoft Windows
500MHz CPU
128MB of RAM
Soundcard
CD-ROM drive (24x)
Printer and mouse
Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator or other HTML browser (to print bonus documents)
